Sashaa has been grinding on the music scene for a while now making a name for herself in the North Carolina rap scene. I was first introduced to her music by a mutual friend and later grew respect for her music and grind. She has a unique style, with the looks to match, Sashaa is the complete package. The first time I saw her perform, I knew she had a star quality that a lot of artists, just don’t have. She captivated the room and then once she started rapping, You could feel the passion in her music. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for Sashaa, known by Sashaanc or simply the Delectable Dime. I had the great pleasure of speaking with her for a quick Q and A session interview for Scion919.com and she was passionate about her music and definitely down to earth. She is currently working on her first full album released “Delectable Dime” set to be released later this year.

As always the staff at scion919 was impressed with this artist so we first asked, what got her into music? She said, “I’ve always loved music, from just listening to beats to actually listening to what the artist is saying.”

Sashaa is from Louisburg NC, she says she’s a small town country girl with big dreams. She was inspired by artists like Foxy Brown, Lauryn Hill, and Jay Z. Currently working on more music more videos, and a clothing line “Prima•Dime.” her “Delectable Dime“ project will be dropping soon. Constantly working Sashaa has done features with Chyna Vone, Moni Meechi, Bubsy Millions, Bando Rakks, and more, she says she has lots of features.

Although Sashaa hasn’t dropped a full project, she has dropped a bunch of singles and is gearing up to drop her first project in 2021 entitled “Delectable Dime.”

Sashaa has been doing shows but says her best show experience was in Selma NC about a year ago. She explained it was a dope crowd, the energy was dope, and that whole experience was dope overall. From performing at 2 shows in Castalia, and other major shows like Oxfest, Sashaa has been busy working.

We asked do you think it’s easier or harder for women in the rap game? She said both and explained it’s easy to get people’s attention, with sex appeal, but hard because most males don’t take you as seriously. She says oftentimes men wanna get more personal than anything, they wanna offer help, but it’s just to get next to you. She explained most people think that just because you’re a female you’re weak.

Sashaa says she would like to work with Mulatto, and Lil Baby. Although she has been rapping for a couple of years, she said she just got serious last year. When asked about the name Delectable Dime and how she came up with it she said ” It’s me it’s catchy it’s cute makes you wonder” I agree it’s definitely catchy and different. The name actually fits her well, once you see her, it makes sense.

I asked what places would you like to travel to, she said Jamaica and Puerto Rico. Sashaa says her goal is to work with Major Artist. She wants to be able to use her career to make her parent’s life better. Her ultimate goal is to one day start her own record label. I normally ask the artist a trick question to see where their mind is and if they have any knowledge of the music business. When asked If Sashaa wanted to stay independent or sign to a major label she responded “Independent keep all my money lol.”

I wasn’t mad at that answer because a lot of artists make the mistake of chasing fame and forget about owning their masters and making all of their money. Obviously, she is very aware and is focused on the business, hence her saying she wanted to start her own label.

I asked if she had any advice for up-and-coming artists? She said Stay focused & know your worth PERIOD, and always keep a strong mind. Outside of music Sashaa is real laid back. She doesn’t do drama period, For those who know her she says “ima a whole comedian out here, I’m a very observant person, and I’m big on vibes I don’t let a lot of people get close to me personally.” I can definitely understand that. On behalf of SDS Radio and Scion919.com, I would like to thank you for your time and for allowing us into your world for this interview. I wish you the best and much success and will be watching to see how everything plays out in the future. Just know we support you here and will be cheering you on. Salute to the home team Sashaa Nc. I’m scion919 and this has been a The Proof is in the Puddin interview for scion919.com as always remember the Sky is not the limit when the galaxies are endless. Salute.
